BURRRR -15 degrees
Brianna brings new meaning to -15 degrees. Tonight dropped off Brianna and Emily at Patty and Rogers house. As I was getting Emily out of the van Brianna ventured to the front door. Before she goes in she has to take a taste test of the railing. Of course I didn't know what she was screaming about until I saw her tongue stuck to it. BOY DID I FREAK OUT!!!! I couldn't put two and two together that "Yes Shari, warm water will help". So I went in yelling for Patty to help. She came to the rescue and calmly poured warm water and help Brianna free. Every kid learns there lesson. Brianna is sure milking all the petty. It is kind of funny.
The whole night she didn't say much. Patty said it is the quietest she has ever been. OH her poor tongue is double the size.

Emily's EEG
Today Emily had her EEG done. This was done because she possible had a seizure on Monday morning. An electroencephalogram (EEG) is a test that measures and records the electrical activity of your brain. Special sensors are attached to your head and hooked by wires to a computer. The computer records your brain's electrical activity on the screen or on paper as wavy lines. Certain conditions, such as seizures, can be seen by the changes in the normal pattern of the brain's electrical activity. We had to make her sleep deprived. She had to stay up until midnight, if she wanted she could sleep form 12-5am. (which she did) Then you had to wake up at 5am. Emily did very well. Normally when she gets too tired she gets to be pycho women. We had to be in Mankato at 7am. The testing takes about 1/2 hr once the sensors are placed. Needless to say all the sensors are placed on with glue and not just one about 20 of them. She was wrapped super tight in a special made blanket. That only took 1/2 hr to place all of them. She slept really nice. We will not find out the results for another couple days. The doctors has to read and interpret the test.
Since Monday Emily has been doing fine. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Okoboji Winter Family Vacation
Our 1st family vacation
We stayed at Bridges Bay resort in Arnolds Park, IA.
It was wonderful. My parents (Pete & Dodie) rented the condos for 2 nights and 3 days.
My brother Scott joined in on the fun also. Not only the Wendinger Family but the WHOLE Gary & Darlene Hoffmann family vacationed with us. They had a indoor waterpark - pretty much kiddy pool sytle with water slides. Brianna went nuts when she saw everything we couldn't get her out of the water. It was great for the kids. Emily even enjoyed the swiming. Besides swimming the adults played cards.
With the weather on Saturday (rain and ice) Sheila and her family couldn't make it down. Roads were too icey. Funny thing is she was bringing all the fruit for the NEW chocolate fondui pot.
We hope we can return next year or travel with our family to another destination.
